August 23, 2007

Yesterday was Leah's first day of kindergarten! I think she enjoyed herself, although it was quite hot and humid. Luckily they are getting out early the first two days. I am hoping she has a great year. She seems more grown up already.

On August 15 Leah turned six-another big milestone. We celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese and then also had a party for grandmas, grandpas and aunts and uncles, too. This year her cake was Little Mermaid-a new favorite (even though she has never seen the movie). The favorite gift was probably the sixth and seventh seasons of Full House. I have had about enough of this show, but the girls love it!

Next week is Reeve's birthday. Today is my first day of school with kids. Time is going so quickly. We also have Denver Days this weekend--the parade is what the girls look forward to.

We head back to Iowa City in September for her next AFP check. If you are still checking in, please pray for a low, low AFP. We are continuing to enjoy normal life and it seems the longer we are able to be normal, the scarier the prospect of the cancer world is. We so pray for a healthy, happy school year for Leah -that she is able to enjoy all the fun times of kindergarten.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!
