AFP = 1.7
Today was another good Iowa City day.....things have changed slightly every time we have gone back, but it just seemed more noticeable today. Today was our last visit with Dr. Radhi, who is going to Kansas City at the end of this month. We have made so many trips to Iowa City that I can't imagine a visit without him. When I made a comment about perhaps going to Kansas City to see him instead, Dr. Radhi was thinking that was not a bad idea. He has a few other patients who will be doing that. I guess the big thing before we decide is whether insurance will cover Leah seeing him in KC. Since all the blood work looked good, Leah has officially been off treatment for three years now. Dr. Radhi asked me if I just wanted her seen every six months. I compromised to coming every four. Six months seems so long between visits. After our hospital trip we did our usual stops- Prairie Lights Book Store, the Coral Ridge Mall, and then to Williamsburg today instead of Cedar Rapids. We found a few cute things so that I don't really think the girls need much for school in the fall. They probably won't like to hear that! :)
We are all tired tonight. Since we have moved to our "summer schedule" (late nights and sleeping in) leaving by 5:30 AM was a rude awakening.
We are looking forward to a weekend in Chicago, a trip to the Des Moines Zoo, and maybe even Walnut Grove, MN, one of Laura Ingalls Wilder's homes (we are now FINALLY on the last book, The First Four Years for our nightly read aloud). Thank you for your continued prayers and support and caring.
